Resumo

O presente trabalho traz uma abordagem inicial sobre as estrelas, identificando nas mesmas um excelente motivador para o Ensino de Astronomia nas Escolas. Os Produtos Educacionais gerados durante o Mestrado Profissional em Astronomia são: (1) Sequência Didática: “Conhecendo as Estrelas”, (2) Guia para a Confecção e Montagem dos Modelos de Estrelas e (3) Modelo Espacial das Estrelas mais Próximas do Sol. Na Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC), os Objetivos de Aprendizagem da Unidade Curricular “Terra e Universo” e a relação conceitual com os Eixos Formativos, trazem o estudo de estrelas em vários aspectos, o que respalda a temática escolhida neste trabalho. Embora não tenha sido possível materializar o projeto de construção dos modelos com os estudantes, por conta da presente pandemia, conseguimos, ainda assim, apresentar os Produtos Educacionais durante as aulas remotas aos estudantes do 1o ano do Ensino Médio Integral do Colégio Estadual Eraldo Tinoco de Melo. O resultado foi bastante positivo e criou uma excelente expectativa nos mesmos. Esperamos que estes materiais possam contribuir para a formação em Astronomia dos estudantes das redes de ensino público e particular.

Abstract

TEACHING ASTRONOMY IN SCHOOL: KNOWING THE STARS

The present work brings an initial approach to the stars, identifying in them an excellent motivator for the Teaching of Astronomy in Schools. The Educational Products generated during the Professional Master's Degree in Astronomy are: (1) Didactic Sequence: “Knowing the Stars”, (2) Guide for the Confection and Assembly of Star Models and (3) Spatial Model of the Stars closest to the Sun. In the Common National Curriculum Base (BNCC), the Learning Objectives of the Curricular Unit “Earth and Universe” and the conceptual relationship with the Formative Axes, bring the study of stars in various aspects, which supports the theme chosen in this work. Although it was not possible to materialize the project to build the models with the students, due to the present pandemic, we were still able to present the Educational Products during remote classes to the students of the 1st year of Full High School at Colégio Estadual Eraldo Tinoco de Melo. The result was very positive and created an excellent expectation for them. We hope that these materials can contribute to the training in Astronomy of students from public and private schools.
